Wow I LOVED Anne of Green Gables. It's one of those books I just want to hug when I finish reading it and nothing sounds good enough to read for a while. I just was to put it in my pocket and carry it with me where ever I go. I heard the sequals were not very good; it is a tragic shame, there are some books you want to keep going but sometimes it's better if they don't.
I'm going to read The Story of my Life by Helen Keller next, and then maybe Cyrano de Bergerac. I need to read Mansfield Park too. I've read all but one of Jane Austin's books (not including the unfinished ones) presently I just don't feel like reading Jane Austin. I love Wind in the Willows because it is so imaginative and reminds me of the magic of childhood, and Pippi Longstocking is a wonderful book too. I like to read these books that waken my imagination and childhood memories, they remind me how wonderful life is and what interesting things there are to be discovered. I feel it's extremely crucial to keep those dreams and curiousities and ambitions alive. I have so many books on my To Read list! It's always fun to see lists shrink but I'm trying to enjoy the journey most of all.

I feel the same way! there are far too many books on my "to read" list and I have too much to read for school to make any kind of dent in it! If you're looking for more, I would recommend reading (or re-reading) the chronicles of Narnia! I forgot how much I love them and they are a nice and easy read :)
